Description

Looking for more experienced and skilled Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) Flooring Installers to join our company. As a 1099 independent contractor, you will be responsible for installing LVP flooring in residential homes, delivering high-quality results that meet client expectations. This role offers flexibility in managing your own schedule and the opportunity to work on various residential flooring projects. Ideal candidates will have expertise in LVP installation, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) flooring in residential homes, ensuring proper layout, fit, and alignment.
  • Measure, cut, and lay LVP flooring with precision to create a seamless look.
  • Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and ensuring the surface is ready for installation.
  • Remove and dispose of existing flooring if required.
  • Ensure proper installation methods, including floating, glue-down, or click-lock systems based on the project specifications.
  • Install baseboards, transitions, and moldings as needed for a polished finish.
  • Operate tools such as saws, cutters, and utility knives to achieve accurate cuts for corners, edges, and tight spaces.
  • Provide post-installation cleanup and remove debris from the job site.
  • Communicate effectively with homeowners to address any concerns, expectations, or specific requests.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations during installations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any installation issues to meet or exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in installing LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) flooring in residential settings.
  • Strong knowledge of different LVP installation techniques, including glue-down, floating, and click-lock systems.
  • Ability to accurately measure and cut LVP to fit rooms, edges, and around obstacles.
  • Attention to detail and precision in ensuring proper alignment, spacing, and transitions.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills to engage with homeowners professionally.
  • Must have your own transportation and necessary tools for LVP flooring installation.
  • Valid driver’s license and liability insurance (required).
  • Physically capable of lifting materials, kneeling, and working in various positions for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and best practices for LVP installation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects efficiently.

Work Schedule:

  • Flexible schedule based on job availability and the contractor’s preferred workload.
  • Ability to accept or decline projects based on availability and personal scheduling.

Compensation:

  • Pay is project-based, with competitive rates determined by the scope of work.
  • Payment will be made direct deposit weekly upon completion of each project (specific terms to be discussed).
  • Potential for ongoing work based on performance and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Must operate as an independent contractor (1099 status).
  • Responsible for paying your own taxes, insurance, and managing your own business operations.
  • Must adhere to all local building codes and regulations for carpet installation.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain necessary contractor licenses if required by local or state regulations.
  • Must have or be willing to get the EPA required Lead Based Paint Renovator Certification for work done in homes built before 1979
  • Must have business General Liability and Worker's Comp Insurance
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and/or trailer to pick up and deliver product safely to jobsites.
  • MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK
